The Family Conference Centre is a new, purpose built suite of meeting rooms, located just a few minutes away from Birmingham city centre and run by Family Housing Association (Birmingham).

Ideal for the small conference or training event, the centre offers -

  • a seminar room which can accommodate 35 delegates, seated theatre style
  • a larger room to take 50 delegates, seated theatre style 
  • For small training events, one room can be used for a breakout room, or for lunch and breaks during the day.

If preferred, the two ground floor rooms can be combined into one area for larger events such as annual general meetings, receptions and exhibitions.

Seating can be arranged to suit individual requirements.

Equipment
The rooms are airy and well lit, with an ample number of power points.  Room hire rates include an overhead projector screen, video player and television (booked in advance), flip charts and pens.

Food and Drink
A number of catering packages are available to suit all tastes. These range from simple snack lunches to luxury buffets, with a selection of interesting savouries, fresh fruit, cheeses and biscuits. Vegetarian, vegan and other diets can be catered for.

Tea, coffee, biscuits and cold drinks can be provided throughout the day.

The personal touch
At our Conference Centre we take pride in providing a personal service. If you are organising an event, we will be pleased to discuss your needs and will meet any additional requirements if we possibly can.

Access
The centre is fully accessible for wheelchair users and there is dedicated parking for disabled drivers at the rear of the building. Toilet facilities are located nearby on the ground floor of the building.

Opening hours
Normal office hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

Transport
By rail - The centre is five minute taxi ride from Birmingham New Street station.
By car - the centre is seven minutes drive from the Spaghetti junction (J6) on the M6 motorway. Unrestricted parking is available nearby. Click here for location map.

Overnight Accommodation
For delegates who need to stay overnight, and for events lasting more than one day, there are two hotels within walking distance of the centre. Please contact us for further details.

Some history
The centre is built on the site of an old public house, The Dolphin, which served boatmen travelling on the Grand Union Canal. it is located in the Eastside area of Birmingham, which is being regenerated as part of a massive ten-year reanaissance project, with a new learning Quarter and a seven-acre city centre park.
