Family Housing has a large and valuable resource of supported housing in assisting people with specific needs.
Supported housing represents 10% of Family Housing stock and an impressive portfolio of schemes has been developed, in partnership with a number of key specialist organisations. There is a wide range of support being provided – from 24 hours a day registered Care Homes through to homes where residents live independently with the back up of support workers. Family’s supported housing cares for people with a range of needs, majoring on learning disabilities and mental ill health, but with significant involvement in projects for young homeless people and older people.
Whilst managing a number of developments directly, Family recognises the importance and specialism of a number of organisations. We have an enviable track record of partnership with managing agents who provide housing management and support services. Family Housing works closely with a number of care and support providers including Mencap, South Birmingham Primary Care Trust and the Asian Resource Centre and provides high quality care in a range of supported housing projects.
