Family Housing has three schemes for Older People. One scheme is managed by a specialist organisation for Asian elders. Two schemes are managed directly by Family Housing.

Beech Court, Saltley

This is a purpose built scheme for people aged 60 and over, or over 55 years who have a disability. Beech Court has 41 one bedroom flats including 2 with wheelchair access, plus 2 wheelchair access bungalows. There is an emergency pull cord Warden call system, lift, communal lounges, guest room, card phone and a Scheme Manager. This is Leasehold scheme for older people. Family Housing provides all leasehold services and a resident scheme manager to provide advice and support. There are 51 self contained 1 and 2 bed apartments in 2 blocks, Aspen and Blackthorn Court, for owners 60yrs+. There is a Warden call system, lifts, communal lounges, guest room and a laundry in Blackthorn Court. A Resident Scheme Manager lives in the bungalow between the 2 blocks.
