Family Housing Association (Birmingham) Ltd have embarked on a 5 year re-improvement programme in partnership with Frank Haslam Milan (FHM) to ensure all properties are maintained to a high standard and meet with the Governments Decent Homes Standard.
David Hannon, Family Housing Director of Operations said ‘We completed a survey last year of all our housing stock to assess the level work needed to bring our homes in line with the Decent Homes Standard. The results of the Survey means that 1400 homes will receive an investment of over £6 million over the next 4 years. Work includes new kitchens, bathrooms, central heating systems and a whole range of other improvements.
Frank Haslam Milan (part of the Keepmoat Group) has been selected as The Association Preferred Partner to deliver the works by Family. FHM carry out similar work in Solihull and Walsall.
In addition, all residents receiving the works have been given the opportunity to become actively involved in the decision making process for the contract and assist in the design and layout of the improvements as well as a choice of colour for kitchen units, wall and floor tiles.’
