Promising Prospects for Family
Family Housing was recently assessed in a short notice inspection from the Audit Commission. They did not inspect all of the services provided by the Association, but focused on those where they believed there is room for improvement. The inspection therefore looked at
Responsive Repairs and
Home Improvement Programmes
In relation to these areas the Audit Commission also looked at
how easy it is for tenants to access these services;
how easy it is for tenants to participate in decision-making in these areas;
how Family caters for different peoples' needs; and
whether Family provides value for money.
The first results from the inspection were published in April with weaknesses outweighing strengths for repairs but strengths outweighing weaknesses for the Home Improvement Programme.
Now the second judgement from the Audit Commission has been published which states that Family has promising prospects for improvement in these areas.
The Audit Commission uses a four point scale for judging the quality of services as excellent, promising, uncertain or poor.
