Family Housing Association does not arrange home contents insurance cover for our residents. We do arrange buildings insurance cover but this only relates to the shell of the property.
As we all know, Birmingham was hit by a mini tornado on 29th July 2005, resulting in significant damage to buildings and the loss of personal belongings. A number of people did not have any buildings insurance or any contents insurance and therefore lost everything. What would you do if this happened to you?
Family Housing is able to offer contents insurance through the National Housing Federation which is underwritten by a leading insurance provider. The premium is based on whether or not you are under or over 60 years of age, your post code and the sum insured. Cover can be arranged over the telephone removing the need for any forms if you prefer.
This cover is available to all our residents.
