Family completes Short Notice Inspection Improvement Plan
Following our Short Notice Inspection in January 2009 we have now completed all the actions set out in our Inspection Improvement Plan. The Tenants Service Authority officially ‘signed off’ our improvement plan on the 1st December.
Family was one of the first housing associations to have a short notice inspection and the Audit Commission rated us as having “Promising Prospects for Improvement.” The inspection focused on our repairs and home improvement services.
The inspection was a positive and valuable experience. The constructive feedback from inspectors has enabled us to focus our attention on priority areas for improvement, whilst assisting us to build on our strengths in all areas of the business.
We worked closely with our residents and Board members to prepare the improvement plan and both continued to play a key role in monitoring progress against targets as well as evidencing when outcomes were achieved.
We are grateful to the support and involvement from residents, the Board, staff, partners and stakeholders before, during and following the inspection.
